- Provide safe, respectful, and empowering environments free from abuse or exploitation.
- Protect resident confidentiality and obtain appropriate consent before releasing information.
- Refrain from imposing personal beliefs, religion, or ideologies on residents.
2. Maintain Integrity in Services
- Operate within the scope of services promised and avoid misrepresentation.
- Provide services and supports that reflect best practices in recovery support.
- Maintain transparency about financial obligations, fees, and refund policies.
3. Uphold Health and Safety Standards
- Ensure that housing is maintained in a clean, safe, and drug-free condition.
- Enforce policies on alcohol and drug use in alignment with recovery principles.
- Promote wellness, including physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
4. Commit to Professionalism
- Demonstrate honesty, fairness, and accountability in all dealings.
- Avoid dual relationships and conflicts of interest that may exploit residents.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with all residents and former residents.
5. Support Community and Recovery Culture
- Foster a peer-supportive recovery environment.
- Encourage participation in mutual aid and community recovery activities.
